Founded by Vinod Nair, an award-winning Fashion Editor with close to 25 years experience in fashion & luxury lifestyle around the world, VNA proposes to provide guidance and strategies to young & established fashion professionals, luxury lifestyle brands and brands that have plans to venture into the fashion and glamour segments.
Starting his career in 1992 with the Ambani-owned The Observer newspaper in New Delhi, Vinod Nair launched the first broadsheet newspaper in fashion called ‘En Vogue’ in the same paper and ran it successfully until 1997 when he joined the Times of India Group, where he continued to write on fashion.
In 2005, at the first ever fashion awards held in the country in Mumbai, F-Awards, Vinod Nair won the Best Fashion Journalist category and was invited to join Hindustan Times as its Fashion Editor. Upon joining the HT, he continued to vigorously write on fashion and fashion weeks in India of which he has been an integral part since their inception.
In 2006, he was instrumental in launching the Hindustan Times Luxury Conference where such world-renowned names from the world of fashion as Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Diane von Furstenberg, Emanuel Ungaro, Christian Louboutin, Angela Missoni and Supermodel Karolina Kurkova have come and spoke on his invitation in the last 10 years along with the CEOs of Louis Vuitton, Chanel. Dior, Salvatore Ferragamo, Kenzo, Gucci and Ermenegildo Zegna, to mention a few.
In addition to attending fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris, Vinod Nair has also been invited to speak at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture (the organizing body of Paris Fashion Week) and also at several fashion and luxury conferences abroad including the first Latin American luxury conference held at Sao Paulo, Brazil.
